USDOT number: The registration number every interstate (and many intrastate) commercial carrier holds.

MCS-150: The registration form carriers file with FMCSA and must update at least every two years; fleet, drivers, cargo and the hazmat flag on this site come from it, as the carrier declared them.

Safety rating: FMCSA's result after an on-site compliance review: Satisfactory, Conditional or Unsatisfactory. A rating is not refreshed unless FMCSA reviews the carrier again, so many are years old; each profile gives the review date. Most carriers have never been reviewed and are not rated; that is not a bad mark.

Power units: Trucks and tractors that pull or carry freight.

Cargo classes: Self-declared on the MCS-150 from FMCSA's fixed list. Some carriers tick most of the list, so a long list means 'declared', not 'specialises in'; the hazmat flag does not say which hazardous materials.
