SMD Logistics Inc (USDOT 1037092, MC-849846) is an active motor carrier based in Somerton, Arizona that FMCSA's census classifies as for-hire and that declares hazardous materials on its MCS-150. Operation: interstate. Operating authority: active for-hire authority (MC). Fleet: 104 power units and 70 drivers (70 with CDLs). Power units count straight trucks as well as tractors, so they can exceed the tractor count. Its MCS-150 of February 28, 2025 reports 2,397,976 miles and gives 2025, the year it was filed, as the mileage year, so the figure is not a full calendar year's total. Cargo classes declared: general freight, machinery, large objects, metal: sheets, coils, rolls, agricultural / farm supplies, fresh produce, motor vehicles. FMCSA has not issued it a safety rating (no compliance review on record). In the last 24 months it had 90 roadside inspections, 22 of them (24.4%) with an out-of-service order; 2 reportable crashes (0 deaths, 1 injury); a crash on record does not by itself mean the carrier caused it. Registration (MCS-150) last updated February 28, 2025.

USDOT number: The registration number every interstate (and many intrastate) commercial carrier holds.

MCS-150: The registration form carriers file with FMCSA and must update at least every two years; fleet, drivers, cargo and the hazmat flag on this site come from it, as the carrier declared them.

Safety rating: FMCSA's result after an on-site compliance review: Satisfactory, Conditional or Unsatisfactory. A rating is not refreshed unless FMCSA reviews the carrier again, so many are years old; each profile gives the review date. Most carriers have never been reviewed and are not rated; that is not a bad mark.

Power units: Trucks and tractors that pull or carry freight.

Reportable crash: A crash involving the carrier's vehicle with a death, an injury treated away from the scene or a vehicle towed away. FMCSA records it whoever was at fault.

Cargo classes: Self-declared on the MCS-150 from FMCSA's fixed list. Some carriers tick most of the list, so a long list means 'declared', not 'specialises in'; the hazmat flag does not say which hazardous materials.
